"...[We] booked a fishing charter with Chris to build our basic knowledge and gain confidence with our fishing ability. Chris was fantastic, he took us through knots, lures, casting and the benefits of different environments. He was patient and answered all the questions we had.

The
Experience
We are committed and pride ourselves upon facilitating a great experience out on the water catering for all levels of experience by providing a range of tour options for individuals, families and small groups.
We focus primarily on lure fishing, using soft plastics and hard body lures, quality fishing tackle, techniques, and technology to provide an unforgettable experience whilst immersed in the pristine natural environment of East Gippsland.
Estuary fishing in East Gippsland can be exceptional, offering a wide variety of species including Dusky Flathead, Bream, Trevally, Estuary Perch, Tailor and Salmon.
While our tours are predominantly fishing based, the extraordinary diversity and beauty of the flora, fauna and landscapes that you will come across whilst fishing in these locations is simply breathtaking.

Our Boat
Our boat is a 2021 4.8 metre Polycraft Brumby centre console, surveyed to carry 4 passengers.
There is ample space onboard enabling full access to the front casting deck and rear/side cockpit area.
Powered by a 80hp Honda 4 stroke outboard, we will get you to the fishing spots safely and efficiently.
At the pointy end we have a Minn Kota Terrova bow mounted electric motor that will quietly get you close to drop offs and snags where fish like to hide out.

Accreditation & Sustainability
East Gippsland Sportfishing prides itself in running a professional operation ensuring insurances & certifications are maintained.
Our affiliation with the Professional Fishing Instructors & Guides Association (PFIGA) provides reassurance the highest possible standards are met at all times. PFIGA accreditation distinguishes those that gain this accolade as the leaders in fishing guiding, covering all aspects of business best practice, eco-friendly and sustainable fishing practices, OHS and customer service.
East Gippsland Sportfishing observe all fishing regulations and ensures all fishing activities meet the expected standards for the welfare, conservation and propagation of our target fish species.
Further we strongly encourage and promote conservation of the environment, the fish and the species upon which fish feed.

Your Guide
Chris has spent decades fishing the East Gippsland estuary systems of Lake Tyers, Bemm River and Mallacoota.
Creating a unique experience for his clients is Chris’s primary focus, made easier by operating in the pristine environments that these East Gippsland’s waterways offer.
Clients with little experience can learn new skills including casting, tying knots or how to work soft plastic or hard body lures. On the flip side, if you are a seasoned fisho we can just put you on the spot and just let you do what you do best.
Chris is fully qualified for your safety and holds the following qualifications:
• Coxswain NC 1
