WEATHER
Postponement of a tour by EGS due to bad weather is rare as we are an estuary tour with plenty of sheltered options available. In the event of poor weather (heavy rain, thunderstorms or strong winds) we will contact you to discuss. We will offer you the option of continuing as long as we deem it is safe to do so.
If the tour is postponed due to bad weather the booking fee can be re-scheduled or be refunded.
Our vessel is an open boat with no shade or shelter, with this in mind it is advised to bring appropriate clothing and be prepared for inclement weather.
BOOKINGS
To secure a booking, a deposit is required to be paid via direct deposit. We will reconfirm all bookings 48 hours prior to departure and any remaining balances are required to be paid at that time.
CANCELLATION POLICY
All tours are subject to weather conditions, and we reserve the right to cancel any tour to protect the safety of those onboard. In that event, we will refund any monies paid or attempt to reschedule your tour subject to date availability.
If you cancel within 7 days of your trip, booking deposits will be forfeited Tours cancelled by a client within 48hours of departure or if they fail to turn up on the day will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
Please note: East Gippsland Sportfishing is not liable for any ancillary costs/damages as a consequence of a cancelled tour due to any circumstance.
MEDICAL & SAFETY
Please advise us of any medical conditions that could put yourself and others at risk.
Your safety and that of other clients onboard is our priority. It is important to note that when the boat is moving, stability is vitally important to both yourself and others whilst on the water.
As this is a sportfishing lure only tour that requires you to stand and cast lures, it is therefore understood that as a paying participant each person fully understands that there are risks involved in that activity and that as a client you are accepting of those risks as part of the tour.
Please do not touch boat controls or safety equipment without consent.
The Master is responsible for the vessel and its passengers, and their authority must be respected at all times.
CHILDREN
Children travel at adult prices and those under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Please advise prior to the tour if a child under 16 is participating as we need to allow for appropriately sized life jackets.
PERSONAL FLOTATION DEVICES (PFD's)
As required by law, supplied PFD’s must be worn at all times, this includes whilst the boat is at anchor.
RECREATIONAL FISHING LICENCE (RFL)
A Recreational Fishing Licence (RFL) is required by all clients wishing to fish (not required for those under 18 or over 70 years of age). An RFL covers all forms of recreational fishing in all of Victoria's marine, estuarine and inland waters.
To purchase an online licence please visit service.vic.gov.au or via the Service Victoria App (Android / Apple)
ALCOHOL & SMOKING
To maintain the health and safety of clients and crew onboard, the consumption of alcohol and smoking is not permitted onboard.
